Soldier Andrew Briggman (Nat Wolff) is an ambitious infantry member who has just arrived in Afghanistan. Fights daily to stand out in a squad full of wild and a little crazy soldiers. When the head of the group is relieved by a new leader (Alexander Skarsgård), Briggman is inspired by his determination and tries to imitate his reckless conduct, quickly reaching the position as second in his unit. However, when Briggman witnesses that the platoon begins to kill innocent civilians, he will be forced to decide between denouncing (putting his life in danger almost immediately) or shutting up to participate in what he believes are crimes against human rights.
